Richard and Alison marchant have submitted the following write up:
National Cross Country Results
Some of our regular runners attended the National with a great result for Darius Boardman coming in at 22nd with Matthew Dutton following shortly after in 51st then not too far back in time just 2 minutes behind the winner but in a position of 261st was James Marchant who ran well considering this was his second race back after being out for two months with pneumonia.
In the U13 girls we were represented by Amy Moran who had a super race and came in at 88th.
U15 girls were again represented by two of our regulars, Jade Lord coming in at 141st and Alice Garnett coming in at 299th. Again both girls had brilliant runs.
U15 boys it was Declan Bulmer and Neng Wildman battling it out against each other as usual and coming in at 255 and 276 respectively.
In the U17 girls reliable Emma Spencer came in 79th with a good strong run and powerful performance.
in the senior ladies Faye came 504th with a good run.
So in short that was the Nationals
Now for the last Mid Lancs Cross Country at Barrow where we were well represented by our young runners for this last meeting and we were not disappointed with the performances they put in.
U11 Girls
16th Natrika Wildman (never missed a race)
Fantastic run by Natrika who has not miss one Mid Lancs Cross Country meeting and came 8th overall in the individual positioning for the season.
U11 Boys
2nd Tiarnan Crorken
4th Thomas Marchant
7th Kia Akins
22nd Daemon Metcalfe
Four really fantastic runs here in the U11s with a powerful run by Tiarnan to finish in 2nd position but not far behind was a battle for 3rd and 4th between Thomas and Cole Blakey Kendal AC with Thomas just loosing out on the sprint finish and also just behind them was Kia Akins running a brilliant race to come in at 7th position this being only his second cross country race for the club. Running in at 22nd position was the ever dependable Daemon Metcalfe. Shame there was not a Team event for this age group.

U13 Girls
2nd Amy Moran
Best position this season for Amy she ran a fantastic race to come in comfortable at 2nd position and ending the cross country season off with an Individual position of 5th overall just missing one race all season.
Alice Parkinson came 26th overall in the individual positions for the season.
U13 Boys

13th James Marchant
15th Bradley Roscoe
1st Team performance
As has already been mentioned two excellent runs from our two shining stars in the U13s Darius and Matty coming in 1st and 3rd but not before a bit of drama. Darius went out to the front straight from the start and had a fantastic lead run all the way round a very gutsy run indeed with Sam Nicholson Barrow & Furness Striders AC always hot on his heels until the last 50m when he went past Darius and looked to be taking all Darius’s hard work away from him when lots of shouting and support from the Pendle runners mum’s and dad’s at the finished gave him that extra little bit of something from some where to pip Sam on the line by a dip of the head more like a 100m sprint finish not a 3.5k cross country race. But lets not forget the U13s won the team event which you need four runners to count so who are the other two. 13th position went to James Marchant who put in another solid performance and seems to be shaking off the effects of the Pneumonia now and is coming back stronger with each race and only a few seconds behind was Bradley Roscoe again putting in a dependable strong run to support the lead runners of Pendle.

U15 Girls
Again the girls were there in numbers with good strong performances from all four girls to take the team 2nd place position.
6th Jade Lord

18th Alice Garnett
Fantastic runs by all four girls with Jade leading and Emily, Lucy and Alice not far behind to bring a good result for the end of the season.

Fantastic effort by these four girls who all never missed a meeting well done indeed.
U15 Boys
12th Declan Bulmer
14th Neng Wildman
Two of the most dependable runners for the club battled it out again here at Barrow with Declan just coming out on top in 12th position with Neng coming 14th after finishing really strong with a sprint finish to make up three places in the last 100m.
Overall individual positions show how closed these tow fine young athletes are with Declan Bulmer coming 17th and Neng Wildman right behind Dec in 18th, well done boys.
Senior Ladies
Good reliable Faye Holden ran in the Senior Ladies and came in with a great performance finishing 58th coming 44th overall.
