Pendle athletes Spencer Phelan, Natrika Wildman and Leah Hillman turned up to compete at Trafford.

On his first occasion competing on the track, U11 boy Spencer finished 7th of 15 boys in the LJ with 3.17m, won his 75m heat and ran well in the 150m.

Having recently been elevated to no.1 in the powerof10 at Javelin Leah battled with the wind but still managed a creditable 24m+ throw to finish 2nd to Wigan’s Gemma Kinsley. 1st place in the Discus was followed by 2nd position for Leah in the shot with a new PB in excess of 8m but again the Wigan girl triumphed.

Natrika achieved a PB of 1.25 in the HJ at Blackpool on the Saturday went better and  jumped 1.30m in winning the U13 girls competion. She again competed in the 75m and 150m sprints, taking 3rd place overall in the latter.
