Zac Child raised his own senior javelin record to 45.26.

I had originally said that Leah Hillman set a new U13 javelin record but was wrong.  Leah actually raised the record at the previous mid lancs meeting at Blackburn to 28.75.  I’m struggling to keep up at the moment!

The meeting demonstrated the Club’s current strength in throws with most of our points coming from there,  and in the men’s competition we had a 1,2 in shot and winners of hammer, discus and javelin.

The final meeting of the season is the medal meeting on 27th August at Wigan and there is a pre entry form on the mid lancs site.  There is entry on the day but at an increased price.  Whilst there are eligibility criteria to actually win medals the meeting is open to everyone, regardless of whether you have competed so far.
