Pendle is a community athletics club open to anyone with an interest in the sport aged from 7 years upwards.

We have a large junior section and active links with local schools through the Pendle School Sports partnership.

Our base is a the Seedhill athletics track near Nelson and just off the M65 next to the Thatch and Thistle pub (the one with the thatched roof).  The track is owned by Pendle Council and operated by Pendle Leisure Trust.

We compete in all the athletics disciplines: track, field, cross country, fell, multi disciplines and road relays.

Athletes are coached by qualified coaches who give their own time and expertise on a purely voluntary basis. They have all undergone training and are accredited by UKAthletics.

Coaching is provided to meet the needs of individual athletes, however it is our policy to encourage athletes to experience a variety of different events both in training and competition.

Introduction to Athletics for the young athletes is provided by a designated coach who takes them through a programme of training, which enables them to try out most events by using equipment specifically designed for the younger age groups.

New members are always welcome – just come along to the track at 7pm on Monday or Wednesday evenings.
