Pendle AC is a community based athletics club providing a safe, friendly environment for athletes of all ages, abilities and backgrounds; it aims to provide quality development coaching across a range of disciplines.

The Club is aware that children and young people are at risk from adults who are in a position of responsibility and has therefore adopted the UK Athletics Child Protection Policy which can be found at www.UKAthletics.net (About us, Policies).  All club coaches are CRB checked and will attend safeguarding and protecting children courses.

The Club aims to have each squad run by a level 2 (or higher) qualified coach with a specialism relevant to the squad.  The senior coaches will be supported by level 1 coaches (or similar) who on occasions will deliver a session based on a plan from the senior coach.  All helpers will be encouraged and supported by the Club to gain qualifications to at least level 1 (or equivalent).

Equity statement

Pendle AC is opposed to all forms of discrimination and has therefore adopted the AAA Equity Statement:

The association aims to ensure that all people, irrespective of age, gender, disability, race, ethnic origin, creed, colour or sexual orientation have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in athletics at all levels and in all roles.  That is as a participant, coach, administrator or official.

The Club Welfare Officer is Mrs Christine Chorlton who can be contacted on Club nights or on 01282 692480.
