Mid Lancs XC – Astley Park, Chorley 1.10.16
Well done to our pocketful of Pendle peeps for your fantastic performances at the first of the Mid Lancs Cross Countrys. You all did amazing – firstly in the U11 Boys were Jamie Ashworth and Elijah Adeoulu. Jamie finished a tremendous 13th out of 71 runners and with a smile on his face – brilliant Jamie and Elijah, who hasn’t done a cross country before, relieved at only having to do 1 lap (albeit a big one) did fantastic and finished in 55th place in a very fast field. A very fine effort for Elijah – hope to see him at another cross country.
Morgan Webster, our little pocket rocket, finished in 13th place out of 44 runners, covered in mud but still smiling. Well done Morgan – you ran a great race.
Thomas Marchant ran in the Senior Mens race and finished in an outstanding 23rd position out of 272 – you really are something else Tom – brilliant, positive running. Ryan Atkins, keeping Thomas company in the Senior Mens race, ran superbly finishing in 209th place.
Credit has to go to all of you who ran – it was a brilliant day and Fly enjoyed herself too !
The next Mid Lancs is on 29th October at Cuerden Valley Park, Bamber Bridge but before that we have the first of the Red Rose Fixtures on 15th October at Leigh Sports Village, this is quite a flat cross country for those that don’t like hills !! Hope to see a few more Pendle Athletes at the next cross country !
