ENTRIES ARE NOW CLOSED  !!!!  Any amendments must now be made on the day.  If anyone hasn’t paid in full can they please do so when they pick up their numbers.

We are delighted that The Complete Runner http://www.completerunner.co.uk/ have donated a ladies running jacket and 7 shoe bags and these will be raffled off at the meeting.

If you haven’t been to one of our meetings before we are easy to find – just off the M65.  See Location menu item on right hand side.

Just to stress that parking next to the fitness centre is solely for disabled people and officials.  There is parking further along the road on the right hand side. We do have a lot of entries so please park considerately and ensure that the main car park gate and the smaller gate down the left hand side of the building are left clear for emeregency vehicles.

There will be a shop where you can buy teas, coffees, cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and sweets.  Please do support us with this because with increased track hire charges the event itself isn’t profitable.

When you arrive numbers will be available from the main building on the side facing the track.  Please bring your own safety pins.

Events will run back to back – there are no times.  This is to cope with the varied entries and to ensure that everyone gets away as soon as possible.  All ages of hammer start at 1030 followed by senior discus and javelin.  Other field events start at 1230.  This is to meet a track safety restriction.  Track starts at 1200.

We have a lot of young athletes entered, and for many this will be their first track and field meeting.  Officials will try and help wherever possible, but will intervene if there is a safety issue.  Parents must not go onto the inside of the track with their children.  Also all spectators must remain outside the track railings.

Results will be displayed on the building windows and full results will be posted on this website at some point.  This may take a couple of days because we are operating manual results.

Any questions on the day please ask at the announcer’s window.

Pendle AC members and parents:  we will be running a shop on the day and offers of help and food will be greatfully received.  If you haven’t the time to bake then shop bought items (including fruit) would be ideal.  All proceeds from the shop are used to subsidise coach travel to young athlete league meetings.  Coach travel is only provided to a few events and is invaluable to lots of athletes and families, but it now forms our largest item of expenditure!
